I need to paint a room, but there are a lot of nail holes and peeled off paint on the walls. I bought some spackle, (Muralo brand) but I don't understand the directions, because they are for exterior spackle ewhen the front of the tub says interior spackle. Can anyone help me please?

First, using a small putty knife, smooth out the edges around the nail holes. Then using the putty knife, apply the spackle to the holes, leaving a slightly raised amount of it. Then wait for the spackle to dry, usually about a day. Once the spackle is dry, lightly sand the spackle to bring the surface to the same level as the wall surrounding it. Using a vacuum or a brush, get rid of the resulting dust. At that point you can go ahead and paint the walls.

I have not heard of this brand; but for most Spackle all you need to do is brush off any extra peeling or chipping from the nail hole. Then use a putty knife(a flat spatula looking tool) and push the Spackle into the hole -feather out the excess. Find where it states a drying time and let it dry for that length of time.
Then take a very fine sand paper;(400 grit) sand it so its level with the rest of the wall. Then use a tack cloth and wipe off any dust and you are ready for paint!

Follow the directions - it should work fine inside or outside. If it's too thick, add a drop or two of water - too thin, add more mix.
