Most living creatures need water to survive. I never thought much about cows, but if you know they drink water, I suppose it's because they're thirsty. Also, I don't see the correlation between cows and cacti, one being an animal and the other being a plant. That's akin to comparing cows to coconuts since both produce milk.

Cows need water just like any other animal needs ater to survive and cows are found in most climatic regions as well.

your first mistake, was thinking that a cow is a tropical animal that eats cactus. cows live in all climates throughout the world, and must drink water to sustain life just like all large mammals.
