Traffic always works! And never ever volunteer information. I make it a habbit to stay over somtimes. Or I will come early and leave early. LOL

I'm almost never late to work and on the rare occation that I am, I'm honest about the reason (unless it's something too personal). I don't think it's the end of the world if somebody forgets to put their alarm clock on or something once or twice per year. If a supervisor can't be reasonable and understand that things like that can happen to anyone occationally I don't want to work for them anyway. I would see why they wouldn't be pleased if it happened all the time, but it doesn't in my case, so I don't really feel like I need to lie about my reasons.

It all depends on why I am honestly running late. If say the reason I'm running late is because I was having a quickie before work, then Ill make up a reason. But if its something simple, then hey just tell the truth. Remembering a whole bunch of lies gets to be too hard.

I'm honest, because simple is better. The only time I would lie is if I had a job interview with another company and it ran late. Not much sense in being honest about that! But normally honest is easier- don't have to worry about keeping your story straight.

when i lie about it. Then you always get caught in lies.

try to just tell them the truth, but then there are those

I have never been late.....but I would think I would tell the truth...if I were late, I would have a good reason....if you are late, and have to lie, then you don't have a good reason and should probly get in trouble....and waking up late is not a good reason....

I'm honest. But that is because my boss doesn't really care if I'm a few minutes late. Plus, I'm usually about 20 minutes early so it evens out!

i like to be honest, any way i havent been late i allways leave 1 hour early, i dont think i would want to lie about being late. its best to be honest.

If I am going to be late for work, I call and tell them why and tell the truth.
