I have made friends with someone who is 15 yrs older than me at college. Him and I get along really well and have similar interests. He tells me that he feels connected to me at heart and we are both very attracted to each other. Is this age difference to extreme?

just so I understand... you are in college and he's 15 years older than you. Sounds like the perfect relationship to me, but be prepared to not know the words to his favorite songs LOL

Sometimes it ends up being that way. But be just friends for awhile and see how your friendship works before you become real romantic. My husband and I are best friends and he is four years younger. But we became good friends and found out all our flaws and interests before we got romantic.
Age can make a huge difference in terms of wanting children too soon or waiting too long, different romantic situations, having had more adult relationships, seen more of the world, and the ability to handle the same things.
Remember what to expect.

For sure, I kind of think you know that it is. When you are 25 years old he will be 40 years old, think about that. Usually at 25 years, most are still dating and having fun with friends ,etc. Most people began to slow down at 40 years of age, it is more about work and raising the family at this point of life, dating is almost gone. So unless you are in a hurry to get older, you had better think about this one.

Having been there, I can say 15 years is entirely too extreme an age difference. You're likely at entirely different stages in your lives. My husband is 5 years older than me, and we still occasionally run into age-difference issues. If you choose to continue with this relationship, please go slowly and make sure you're not just reacting to the sparks.

I don't think there is a problem, as long as you are of age. Put it this way: 30 and 45 is OK, so is 20 and 35, but there is no way in hell 15 and 30 is OK!! Just put it that way. It doesn't matter your age(of age of course) but how your personalities are together, and how mature both of you are.

I once briefly dated a guy who was 18 years older than I was. We had known each other for several years and were friends for a while. Nice guy, but he was a bit condesending and he thought everything I did was cute, which got really really irritating. The sex was really good, tho'. But dude was only 3 years younger than my dad, so that was a bit weird when I stopped to think about it.

age really shudnt matter. as long as you dont have to go away to college anymore, or anything like that which cud get in the way, go for it. my parents are 9 yrs apart, nd i know a couple nd theyre like 23 yrs apart! so its ok, age rly rly shudnt matter if the connection and sparks are there! have fun, and dont listen to anyone who tries to tell u ur too young for him!

listen everyone will have their opinion on age difference, but all you really need to do is decide how you really feel.
to me i really dont think age is that big of a deal once you hit a certain age, you are both consenting adults. if it feels right i say go for it and dont let people tell you differently

take your age, multily by 2, subtract 14
that is the oldest person you should be with
example if your 22x2-14=30
the youngest?
divide by 2 and add 7
22div2+7=18

p.s. I'm 41 and my husband is 54
