Women were liberated from the home, from their husbands, from their children - from having to bear children at all. Fathers were liberated from their authority. Children were liberated from limits, from rules, even their parents. And the entire population was liberated from moral and ethical standards. Yet it turns out that those things were precisely what held society together. "Family values" have been so scorned that we are left with neither families nor values. What do we have? Rampant illegitimacy and sexual disease, widespread divorce, and a generation of unloved, undisciplined, and uncared-for kids.

So you liked the fact that a woman had only rights to cook, clean and take abuse from men, and their own kids? Whatever!! I am not a crazy feminist, but I am a firm believer in womens rights. The problem with today's society is not that women are liberated, it's because nobody wants to take responsibility anymore for their own actions, nobody fully disciplines their child for doing wrong. I hate shopping at walmart etc because of parents who let their frigging kids have the run of the place and take no responsibility when their kid has destroyed something unless of course they get hurt, then it's nobody's fault but the store/corporation so you sue. Lets see are you old enough to know what you are talking about?

I guess you do have a point, but what if the woman or women we are talking about aren't at all interested in family? What if they have been called to lead something else (not to say that wives lead the family, though many times it seems they do because the husband is always at work, well, not always), missions in other countries, large businesses, a lot of things can replace family for women and then we are left with not as many house wife type of women. We just want to show that we are just as capable of organizing, leading and helping the world without being hidden behind a man.

It completely unfair to say the feminist movement is the cause to all those problems.
For starters each generation has plently of problems.Kids have always hated thier parents. Married couples have always been unhappy, at least now they have a choice to end it and there are alot less aranged marriages.
The Feminist movement is hardly the cause of this unhappiness. If anything its allowed the indepentant woman more happiness.
There are plently of ways to balance work and family. And many women who work relieze that having children is not the right choice for them.
You don't have the right to try to stop women from working anymore than I have the right to make you leave your family and start working.

I am so happy that I do not have to stay home all day, taking orders from a husband and taking care of all the children. Clean, change diapers, cook dinner, repeat..... I love having my freedom, but with freedom comes responsibility. When I take the vows I will honor them. When I have children I will raise them. But I will also vote, work and share the household responsibilities with my hubby. That is liberation baby and I love it.

feminism gets a bad rap, I'm old enough to remember it wasn't feminism that took the woman out of the home & into the workplace, it was our greed to get more, especially the over priced home market of the 70s, so many women went to work so the family could get a home or upgrade, we made a terrible mistake.

I can see where you might want to equate women's lib to the breakdown of society and you're entitled to your own views... be glad to be liberated enough to be able to view them rather than be shoved into a closet!
