I would go see a Doctor before in turns into something you don't want.

it's most probably a lymph node swelling, nothing serious, since you've had it for a long time and it's also hurting. It's because it becomes a little tender and painful, when there is some infection in the body. sometimes, the lump never goes away, because the lymph node enlarges permanently due to constant touching and examining. What you can probably do, is, have your blood checked. If it is something seious, given that you have had this for a pretty long time, you should have a big difference in your WBC, but if that's in the normal range, you can just ignore this. A doctor might prescribe anti biotics for the pain . Hope this helps.

We ALL have lymph-node glands under our arm pits. Some of us have very large ones, and some do not. I happen to be one that does. Everyones will swell from time to time. Yes they can hurt a little and be sore. Certain antiperspirants can do that, and also if you are ill or have an infection in your body they will do that. When you are feeling better the swelling will go down. If you are like me with large nodes to begin with, they can get very large when you are sick. But it's nothing to worry about. As long as you checked it out and they said it was nothing..I'm sure that's all it is. I'm surprised they didn't tell you what it was though. If you want to be sure go see a doctor. I cannot recommend one to you nor can anyone else not knowing where you live. Start with a general practitioner in your area, he or she will direct you to a specialist if they feel the need. Relax..I'm sure it's nothing.

I have had such things on 2 occasions. The first time, I didn't what it was, but it went away after a couple days. The next time it happened (a couple monts ago), I found it while showering, and I examined it in a mirror closely, and it looked and felt an awful lot like a large and deep pimple. I gave it a good squeeze, and about half a cc of goo came out. Nasty, I know, but it felt a lot better. I am guessing it was a clogged sweat pore.

That's a lymph node. Everyone has them under there, but there is a reason that it is now hurting. It could be for hormonal reasons or for other reasons. You do need to get this checked out now since it's giving you problems. If it's not hurting then it's fine.

Okay, I recommend that you see a doctor since it is starting to hurt. Any change in something that has previously not bothered you should always be checked again.
It could be something very simple or something serious. Don't take a chance, get it checked.

Lump under armpits, they hurt huh? They're kinda like pimples that is hard to get rid of. Soon they will get "ripe" and pus/blood will ooze out. Disgusting I know but that's what it is.

just go toyour regular doctor. (it could just be a cyst) This can be removed or you can be given medicine to shrink it. If you need to see a specialist, your GP ill let you know. If it hurts they will do something to make it comfortable
