they offered us "free broadband" with our talk plans, but we had to wait 2 months for this "free broadband" then, when it finally arrives, we didnt ask for a modem (having 2 of our own) but their installation software wont take us beyond the point where we are asked which of THEIR 3 modems we are using...enough for us to get our email facility set up. Nowhere in their corresponding letters do they give our email settings (like virgin did very simply) we called them SEVERAL times, everytime no less than a 20-30min wait to get through, the last being just before 8pm today, and when we eventually got through they had shut down their systems and the person at the other end reiterated and reiterated, we need to speak to technical support. Talk about passing the buck! Actually, we might just ask for our bucks back!!!

I must be one of the lucky ones! I changed to Talktalk for my landline, and my broadband early this year, and have had no problems at all so far. The only thing was that I had a problem getting through on the helpline when I wanted to know something about the virus protection, and couldnt get through so in the end, I just bought an independent one. My broadband connection is on all the time, and is very reliable. Long may it last!!

Complan to your trading standards dept. then see if you can take them to the small claims court to sue them for breach of contract.
