sound's like she has a ear infection and needs 2 see a vet.
Does she kinda go dopey when you rub her ear? it might not hurt her yet just irritate her but you should get it checked out.

What it sounds like is an ear infection. I once had a lab mix who constantly had ear infections. Also the fact that its a Charles Spaniel makes me think in the direction. The ears are droopy pendulous ears and that can trap moisture in there. One easy way to tell is to smell the ear, if it has this horrible odor, its most likely an ear infection.
There are other problems she could have such as ear mites, but really it does sound like an ear infection. Either way you'll have to bring her into the vet for treatment. Ear infections can be hell to get rid of, but if you're really vigilant and keep them really clean you can overcome them. You'll just have to stay on top of it in the future.

She may have an ear infection. Dogs will shake their heads if their ears hurt or are bothering them. Maybe nothing bit her. Dogs, like humans get ear infections. Take her to the vet ASAP in case it is an ear infection so it can be treated before it gets any worse. Ear infections can be very serious if left untreated.

Your dog could have a bacterial/yeast ear infection. My dog Dio had one and he had the same symptoms. The vet will give your dog an antibiotic, and special ear cleansers. Most over the counter ear cleaners are non drying. What this means is that you have to dry the dogs ear out after application. If the ear canal stays wet, then you are doing your poor dog more harm than good by putting the drops in her ears. Make sure your drops are drying drops. You also want to take a cotton ball and wipe any excess gunk out of the immediate inside of her ear if she will let you. Trust me; your dog will love it. Dio lets out what I like to call the "Oh Yeah, that feels soo good" groan after I put the drops in and rub his ear canal for a few seconds. Its funny, and it shows that the vets treatment did the trick. I hope this helps you and your dog.

Most likely ear infection and dirt can do it too. It is that you are taking her to the vet, but it is easy to take care of you may have to give her some wash into her ear every so often

MAY be ear mites, can you see anything in them? have you cleaned them lately? if not wet a Q-Tip in witch hazel and rub the inside of the ear. remember not to insert the cotton swab into the ear canal

Take a soft cloth (like an old tee-shirt) and wipe out her ear. If it continues, definitely get her checked out.

Go and see your vet, don't play with your dog's health.Dogs with long, pendulous ears are especially prone to ear infections. Home treatment of an ear infection is not recommended-bring the dog to the vet, please.

By repeatedly shaking her head, she's trying to tell you "No, you shouldn't go on American Idol. You have a terrible singing voice and you'll only embarrass yourself."
