I have spoken against the war in Iraq since the beginning. But the fact remains that we are there none the less. Now we have to find some way to get out. Shouldn't that be the focus of everyone's thoughts? We cannot change the past. We must accept it and keep moving forward. It's time to start thinking about our boys overseas and how to get them home in one piece and on their own two feet!! The war might have been a bad idea, or a good one, only time will tell. Let's focus on the "here-and-now".

To answer your question - yes, I think it does.

For the best answer I would suggest that you ask the Iraqi people.

I too have spoken out against the war in Iraq! It made no sense at the time and as time has gone by, it still makes very Little sense. But, I now disagree about removing our troops.

The war has slowly turned. It is now the DMZ against the fanatical Islamists who swear to destroy us. We have identified the real enemy. They are Iran and Syria and every fanatical arab who wants to kill us. The war is on their turf, let's keep it there. The troops we have there are our first line of resistance if and when these jihadists decide to go for broke. That is when we will do our best work, because once they show their devil like faces in any reasonable numbers, that is when we will destroy them in some seriously big numbers.

In the meantime, watch Israel. I believe they're as fed up as anyone in listening to the midget of Tehran, Ahmadinejad who continues to threaten Israel's future. Israel just may be at the end of their level of patience when it comes to Iran.

A felt going to Iraq was wrong from the start, and I still feel it was wrong to have gone. BUT, the fact is that we broke it and it is our responsibility to fix it.
I am not a military strategist, so I have to leave it up to those that are to come up with a solution. A change at the Pentagon was a step in the right direction. Maybe now some fresh ideas and solutions will be forthcoming.

yes I agree, but after the first priority of ending this war, we have to make sure something like this never happens again.....so we do need to figure out waht went wrong and punish the people that are responsible.....
