Average Food Cost < £4

Feeding Requirements
This dog can be fed dry or wet food or a mixture of both. Care must be taken to avoid overfeeding as obesity is very dangerous in the Dachshund breed.
Other Expenses
A puppy will cost around £450 to £650. Little other expense should be incurred as long as care is taken to ensure they do not damage their elongated backs.

The dog's pedigree is more important than the cost. Research this thoroughly, find the common hereditay diseases, which all purebreds have due to inbreeding, and find a breeder that cares to prevent them. Also be aware that dachsunds are prone to paralysis due to ruptured discs in their spine. Ask yourself if you could take care of a paralyzed dog that can't control it's bodily functions before you let this puppy love you.

$500 - $800 and that's pet quality. Buy from a reputable breeder so you'll have a better understanding of the dogs parentage and health issues if any.

it depends on how old the puppy is, my dachshund is a smooth haired, and she was about $500. but dachshunds have bad back problems, and can cost A LOT of money later in life.
