Homeschooling is legal in every state of the U.S. However, each state has its own set of laws governing homeschools. It's easy in Oklahoma, because the state stays out of parental business, only requiring that you school 180 days of the year or more, which is a requirement of public schools as well.

Some states require that you be part of an "umbrella program" attached to a school; often being private schools. Some require that the parent be certified to teach in that state.

You need to find out what Missouri requires. I suggest you locate a homeschool support group in your area, as they will be well-acquainted with your state laws concerning homeschooling.

Best Wishes,
Sue

I think you can, because my family lives in MI (Michigan) and my mom home-schooled me and my brother. But you have to have a high school diploma.

God Bless!!

Yes
But why?
There are a lot of good public schools in Missouri
and you are paying taxes to keep them open anyway
or private school
Home schooling seriously deprives children the social interaction and networking skills people need
You are raising these little people to be adults
You are not raising them to be children
Send them to school and get involved in their schools
its better for everyone, your kids, you, your neighborhood, the teachers
Every school needs concerned parents, go ahead with that instead
