I don't want to brag, but I threw the best bachelorette party for my best friend. It was an 80s themed party -- and we dressed from head to toe in proper 80s attire. We also wore black veil head bands to morn our loss, and made her a white one.
Since everyone was not yet acquainted with each other, we made penis name tags. I cut them on white tag board and the girls had to color the penis to represent them. I'm a teacher, so mine had apple balls and a ruler shaft.
We went to Red Robin for dinner and made an all 80s toast to Cheryl in front of everyone. "May Conor always wake you up before he go - gos."
We had a digital camera - scavenger hunt for wedding related things at the shopping mall (proposal from the Tiffany's secruity guard). At home, we played 1980s cherades and a home-made 1980s pictionary.
We served Cheryl's favorite food, went to her favorite restaurant, and even changed her favorite games to fit her.
And the best thing we did, was have each guest send us notes on the best parts of Cheryl. Some were funny stories and some were touching memories. "This is the kind of relationship you hold onto." We decorated the house with them and it was so special.
Have a great party! And remember to make it what the bride would want, not necessarily what you would want!

If she's not "into the bar scene", she will probably not have fun at a bar or a strip club. I know many people find it fun, but some people actually don't, this is just the difference in personality. You should discuss the plans with her if you want things to go well. I think the best part of a "bachelorette party" is not where you go, but whom you go with; invite people who are close to her, and go to a restaurant, or have it at someone's house - unless she actually wants to try out a bar or a club (sometimes it feels "safer" to go in a group).

Bars and strip clubs have become so pase for bachelorette parties these days. If she is not into that scene you should take her into consideration when planning. Do a house party thing with all girls...make it like a spa day meet the house party and just have a good time playing games, getting pampered and eating. Make a CD or program the ipod with music to fit the party theme, like romantic songs or fun love songs...you get the drift. It is always more personal when you take the time to create the experience for your friends. Check around on the wedding websites like theknot and theweddingchannerl for more ideas! Have fun!

By me, they have these parties called "Passion Parties." It's kind of like a tupperware party but with sexy stuff. They aren't too raunchy but aren't innocent either, so this might be a good idea for your friend if she's on the shy, reserved side. After the party, gauge how much she's loosened up, and then hit the strip clubs if she's in the mood for it.
Don't take her to strip club unless you know she'll like it. Otherwise, you risk her being unhappy for part of her party, and that shouldn't happen.

I always looked at a bachelorette / bachelor party as "its really for the friends." I am also a bride to be and well, whatever my friends plan, so they have fun, is ok with me. I've never been into the club/bar scene either... strippers, male or female, don't bother me a bit... but what is her idea of a fun night out with the girls?? Ask her and maybe compromise. She's gotta expect a night out and strippers to be involved. Am I wrong to think that's a given when you get married?? Maybe you need to teach her how to come out of her shell.

I would take her to the strip club,it can be a lot of fun,ask the manager if you can decorate a little corner and give her $15..one dollar bills to say you are gonna need these tonight and she can pick one friend at a time to use the bills,so,she doesn't have to do it alone! She will have a blast,I think and if not you can leave and have a porn movie ready and some chips and drinks just in case you need to move the party if she doesn't like it!Have fun!

Don't take her where she will potentially be uncomfortable. If you are taking her to a bar or club, tell her or she might end up not having any fun. People like me like to go out and have fun, but I don't like smoky or raunchy bars where I have to fend off random guys. I'd rather go someplace I am comfortable in and can be myself. The night is about the bride, not about the people throwing her the party.

try bachelorette party games. They are games that are usually really perverted but still a whole bunch of fun for a group of girls to take part in. That with some penis shaped cups or straws and you girls won't need to go to the bar.
