I slept with my friend of many years. Before anything happened we both decided "Friends with Benefits". It was great. Althought he could not keep it up all the time. I write this off as nerves. He told me he had always dreamed of sleeping with me. I still thought everything was good. I emailed him the next day and told him he was wonderful. I don't know if my feeling for him have changed or not but he has not contacted in a week. Its driving me nuts. He always calls me. Did I lose my friend? What to do?

I did this once, and it changed everything. We are still friendly, but not the friends we used to be. Give him some time, and see what happens. Most likely he just needs you to back off a little bit. If it's just friends with benefits, sending notes about how wonderful he is is probably not a good idea. Would you have sent something like that to him before the sex? Probably not. So don't do it now. Act the same way as you always have. That was your agreement and you have to stick by it now.

You probably did. He got what he wanted and it wasn't so great. Nothing you can do. Many times when you have sex with people you're in in a committed, serious relationship with, they don't want anything to do with you afterwards. That's the way it goes sometimes when you gamble with friends / benefits. Sometimes you get neither, rather than both.

i honestly have no idea what to tell you and i wish i did because i've had a crush on my best guy friend for the longest time but i'm scared to even say anything at all because of the chance of screwing up the friendship which means more than anything...just go talk to him in person he can't avoid you that way and maybe there's something that needs to be said that's not even really that important or worth losing your friendship over

you might have weirded him a lil by emailing him. i'm a guy and my best friend is a girl. sometimes we have gotten a lil closer than we wanted, but we would talk it out and after 2 weeks, it would be normal again. talk to him like you have in the past. if you two are really good friends, you'll get through it.

I think at this point you need to confront him in person and talk about it. Either continue to do the friends with benefits thing, or the relationship is over. Weird how sex changes things, huh?

maybe he is nervous about it now? If he is a really shy person or if he likes you for more than that he may not have talked to you because of that. OR he could actually be really busy with school, work, friends, family. You never know.

I'm so sorry.. the "friends with benefits" thing never works.. someone always ends up having stronger feelings than the other one.

Write another e-mail to him or call him up yourself telling him that you care about him and because of what you wrote you don't want to loose a friend over what u(i) said

Nothing happened. Plan for another night. :-)

He is shocked to find the reality. He will come back.

Good Luck
