I have approximately $30,000 in federal student loan debt and have completed a BA. I would like to go for another undergraduate program. It is only a one year certicate program in web design and costs approximately $14,000. I live in Pennsylvania. I thought I heard you could borrow up to $42,000 for undergraduate study. Is this true and do you have any further details?

Yes, you can get a second degree with loan money in CA. I'm not sure about PA. but since it's federal and not state, I don't think it matters. Just do your fafsa online and you'll get an anwser fast, but I'm sure you can get a loan. I would be supprised if you don't get one unless you've defaulted on your current loan.

You cannot get more federally funded loans for another undergraduate degree. You can get them for a master's degree though, since you have completed a 4 yr degree.
