I park out where no one else does. It keeps my car nice and free from dings PLUS the long walk contributes to good cardivascular health!!

Generally the first available spot, unless weather is unreasonably poor or I know I'll be going in to get something particularly unweildy (like a television, or something). Even in the event that I'm looking for a closer space, I do not wait for someone to pull out.
I actually hate driving and circling in parking lots, as it's just more time in the car in a crazy parking lot in which to get involved in a collission. So most frequently, I don't even search for the closest available, just the first spot I can easily get to.
And on the other hand, if I see that there are a lot of "circlers" about, I'll sit in my car until I see someone older, or someone I believe really could use the benefit of the spot, before pulling out, if I do happen to be in a closer spot.

I park in the first available spot, and do a quick look on the way tio it to make sure it is. I do not mind the walk, and I think it is polite to save closer spots for those not inclined, or not able to walk, or the folks in a hurry.
Have you ever noticed the age of those circling? They are almost always older. They probably need the closer spot.
I get annoyed with the folks who wait to get my parking place, and are inpatient with me. I hop in the car, throw the purse, grab the seatbelt, and go. This is too much time for some, they honk, and curse. I do not know how I could leave any faster. It is not as if I am goofing around.

It really just depends on where I am at. If I am at a big event that is very crowded I will go for the first open spot, because what are the chances that I will find a spot closer? If I am at the store I will drive around a couple of times to see if there is a spot closer, but I won't waste too much time on it.

My boss is super anal about parking up front it drives my bananas. I mean by the time she parks I could have walked from the furthest parking space. When I am driving I don't really care, I will park in the closest one I find but I wont circle around waiting. Another thing that bothers me is when people block the lane waiting for someone to back out. The person backing out is in no hurry and once again they could have got in the store sooner if they just parked somewhere else.

What kind of Bible do you have/? You are what they would call a fanatic. There is no Biblical scripture to back that up. I have been a Christian for approx 30 yrs. You don't need to be on here talking like that telling ridiculous things. What do you want to scare people away from Christianity? If you aren't going to be on here asking legitimate questions, doing Christianity GOOD, may I sugest you stop and go back and read the KJV of the Bible.
Where you park has nothing to do with where you will end up after you die. How anyone could even think that is beyond imagination. Heaven and hell has to do with your spiritual self, not your driving, or parking.

I park in the first vacant space I find - if it's the farthest from the store, oh well. During the holidays, it's plan stupid to circle for a better parking space. One time, a few years back, I saw someone doing this. By the time they found a space I had entered the store, shopped and on the way back to my car before they finally found a space.

I hope it's warm in hell. Up here in chilly old Minnesota it's worth circling once or twice because in your car it's warm. Outside though it's about a 80 degree difference. Believe me when I say that walking 100 ft to the mall door gets a lot more difficult when there's a 20 mile an hour wind, carrying snow, and it's sub zero outside.

Depends if I'm in a rush or not.. if I need to hurry I find the first available spot and BOOT it to where I need to go. But if its not that big of a deal, haha, I usually just end up parking wherever I can. however if I have to walk far and am in high heels or have to carry something or leave late at night, then YES I park as close as possible.

Funny, how i came across this question, considering i just argued with my husband about this very subject.
Me, i park in the first spot i see, i don't understand why you need to drive round and round a parking lot "WHO CARES IF YOU HAVE TO WALK A LITTLE FURTHER"
My husband, on the other hand has to park close to where ever it is we're going...It's the most annoying thing ever...
