Well in the Christian Religion you can molest children and kill people and all sorts of shiit and then repent and go to heaven...

However, if you live a meaningful life and do good, give to the poor, and etc.... You die without Jesus you burn in hell...

How Fu cked up it that shiit?

Humans have a natural need for religious and spiritual connection and contemplation. It's something so a part of the human condition as to be inseparable. All that modern life has to offer had its start in our desire to understand the universe through the worship of the supernatural. This includes science and our legal system, our system of government, our entertainment and methods of communication.

Simply put, nothing is more basic to being human than our interest and focus on religion.

I will also say that while religion was the start of human civilization and intelligence, its not necessarily the end goal.

We've learned a great deal of truth about the universe around us in the countless years that we've struggled to become an intelligent species. Just as children put away childish things as they become enlightened adults, it is perhaps time that we as a species did the same.

Case in point, my Christian parents pushed Jesus on me very hard when I was a child. They also pushed Santa and the Easter Bunny on me. There was a time when I believed them completely, about all three. After the big shock of them admitting that the Bunny and the Jolly Present Giver were actually 'make believe', what was I supposed to think about a 2000 year old carpenter as the One True God?

If you don't feel there is a reason in your heart or believe that there is a God. Then there is nothing that I can say to you that you would find interesting enough for you to allow me to talk you into becoming a Christian. But if you have the slightest doubt then what would it hurt for you to give it a try. For you have nothing to lose but a whole lot to gain by allowing God into your life. Another thing your doubt will never negate the existence of God. Also God will be there when that troubled time comes in your life filled with his love and mercy and his grace and all you have to do is ask for his help.

I'm really glad you have such a great life! So do I, and who gave me the opportunity of this wonderful life? Yep, that's right, God, my creator. You're right, Christianity shouldn't all be about just not wanting to go to Hell, it's about truly loving Jesus. It's pretty awesome that even when you don't love Jesus, he adores you and waits for you all the time. I am a Christian and sometimes I get far away from God, i don't pray etc. but when I come back to Him it's amazing that he's still there for me and hasn't given up on me. It's excellent that you are considering being a Christian! Go for it! Love Jesus and let him shine through you! God Bless xxx

First things first: I am a Christian... HOWEVER, don't let anyone lie to you... The Christian life is not one of happy-go-lucky walking through roses fun. We go through the same crap as everyone else. Some of us like to think that we're perfect, but who are we kidding? We're all broken.

To be a Christian is not a quest for perfection... It is a quest for a relationship, personal growth. God is not a man, woman, human, animal, bug, or whatever. God exists in the smallest and in the biggest form and is unlimited. God loves us because that is the very essence of God, not ONLY because He wants to save us, but because that is exactly WHAT LOVE IS!!! Perfection. I heard someone say that if he could sum up the Christian life in one word, the word would be: "interesting." The Christian life is interesting.

Being a Christian doesn't make us better... (In fact, it makes some of us worse...) But what it does do is allow us to experience the most personal, amazing sense of actualization... love. Love between humans is amazing, yes, but it's imperfect. There are failures. Love from God to us is perfect, constant, consistent. You just have to open yourself up to it.

Those closed-minded Christians who say that everyone who doesn't believe the way they do most certainly do not pray at the same altar as I do. My God is one whom I can talk with, not just a Genie that I can give a wish-list to... God is a friend who holds ME accountable for ME.

Christianity is not, and has never been, about the positive effects it will have on your life. The Bible warns Christians that their life will be hard. That's what Jesus meant by "take up your cross and follow me."

Becoming a Christian is about accepting the free gift of grace that God has offered us. We have sinned. We all fall short of the perfect standard God lays out for us. For that we all deserve death.

But the good news is that Christ came and payed that debt for us. We only have to accept His gift and allow Him to transform our lives.

Becoming a Christian is like wearing a parachute on a plane that you know if going to crash. You put it on, it's uncomfortable and people think you curious for wearing a parachute. But in the end you know you're going to need it and you desperately wish to warn others of the upcoming jump. Everyone has put their faith in the plane though, and see you as foolish.

(Everything Yeppers said!)

You may be happy, but it can be even better. Yes, being a Christian will save you from going to Hell, but that isn't what it' entirely about.
As a Christian, I spend my life praising the Lord for my life and what He has give me. Being a Christian is not about being a good person and doing good things. It is about accepting the fact the God is real and that He sent His Son to die for our sins. It is by faith, and faith alone, that you get into Heaven. To know that God loves us so so much is just beyond words to me. It is awesome to know that He is always there watching out for you and loving and guiding you.

God bless you and good luck!

Christianity is based on 2 simple rules:

1. Believe in One Supreme Intelligence (GOD)
2. Love and Respect others as you'd expect them unto you

I believe if you practise thes two rules, you are a Christian already. May Jesus be your guide.

I only know of one logical answer to this question, and that is that you will never know how happy and fulfilled you can be as a Christian, unless you actually become a Christian....

But, how will you ever really know if you can be happy and fulfilled as a Christian, unless you get to really know Jesus Christ??????

You dont need to become a christian, all you need is to accept Jesus as your savior, have a personal relationship with God and repent of you sins. Live a Godly life and read the word. Who says you have to become a "christian". although that is what we do as christians and just people that love God and want to save ourselves. Not a bad choice to become one however--

God Bless-

If you can not find this answer alone with God, than you are blinded from the truth. If you are sincere I would sugest you seek God while He may still be sought. There will be a day when that Door * Christ* will no longer be open.
