Here's mine: get all U.S. military out of the middle east and get the U.N. to air-drop (on the U.S.s behalf and expense) humanitarian aid packages (food, clothing, water...etc) until we've appeased them (yep, appeased) for the damage we've caused and the greater damage we've inspired. For those who say "It's not us, it's the terrorists. We're there to help." Get a grip. The terrorists, insurgents etc. wouldn't be there if we weren't. Reconstruction efforts were a joke and a scam. We blew it big and we should make it right.

Hard to choose a best answer from the "Let's kill 'em all crowd." Too bad so few attempt to think of how things might look from the other side.

That won't work. Their goal is to create a Muslim world by force.

We are winning the war in Iraq. Over 500,000 Iraqis will be active and trained as police and soldiers by the end of this year. This is the total amount the U.S. thinks Iraq needs. 50% of Iraq will be handed back to Iraq's government by the end of this year. I think Iraq's government will have 75% of their land back by the end of the second quarter and 100% of their land back by the end of 2007 or the beginning of 2008. I think there might be a small group of U.S. soldiers remaining till 2009.

The general reconstruction efforts are still ongoing. Iraq requires more electricity because they are using more electricity. This is a common thing in third world countries. Even California gets brown outs from too much power use. The U.S. telephone land lines can only hold 20% of the possible calls. In Iraq, cell phones are frequent and they have satellite dishes. They also frequently use electric generators.

"3,100 schools have been renovated, 364 schools are under rehabilitation, 263 schools are now under construction and 38 new schools have been built in Iraq. there are more than 1100 building projects going on in Iraq They include 364 schools, 67 public clinics, 15 hospitals, 83 railroad
stations, 22 oil facilities, 93 water facilities and 69 electrical facilities."

I'm not ready to make anything right! I'm figurin these people people were just in the wrong place in history. Certainly Saddam would have continued his rampage and if he were still in power, would have been emboldened to rachet up his activity against the US.

The insurgents have deliberately killed 150 thousand Iraqi's. For what purpose, I'm not sure and neither are they.

You talk like a man with a cardboard @ss. I think you're actually believing that garbage these pathetic liberals have sold the gutless wonders of this country. They will continue to blow their smoke until the next serious attack, at which time they will call Madeline Albright to negotiate on their behalf, for a 'do nice' policy.

The US troops aren't going anywhere. They will stay in the middle east until we destroy the insurgency, even if it takes fifty years to do so. Get your head out of the clouds dreamer, we're there for the long haul.

Thanks for your input. Don't call us - we'll call you.

A bad misinterpretation of the situation. The insurgents used to be the ones who supported Saddam, his rape rooms, his mass murders, his torture chambers, etc. They are fighting against freedom and democracy for the rest of the Iraqis. They'd be there anyway - brutally suppressing the Shiites and Kurds. But now they have no government support for their atrocities.

Reconstruction is going well, actually, though you won't hear that in the media (can't have anything that might reflect well on the US or Bush).

You should endeavor to find out more of the facts and truth, which is available on many sites on the web. Don't expect to see or hear much of it on the mainstream media - they have an agenda to follow, and winning in Iraq isn't part of it.

That will never win, they will just want more. their goal is to conquer the world for Islam and force everyone to convert to Islam under the threat of death. Same goal they had in middle ages.

Better idea, get all our troops out and use area for nuclear test site to test all our nuclear war heads. i.e. make the whole region a glow in the dark parking lot.

Get all the U.S. military to pull back or get out and then use nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. Use it all. None of this "hearts and minds" stuff or rebuilding campaign. Use ALL the weapons in our arsenal and fight to win and conquer the country. The country is OURS. All or nothing.
