Very true! you have a big point and some Christians aren't goin to look at it that way! I personally follow the teachings of Christ. The Christians before have made it a crutch to do what they felt like doing! Don't lable Christianity as a whole, I'm a Christian and I still have problems with certain types of Christianity because it's the people behind it that say one thing when the word of God does not say it at all! But as long as there are peopl on this earth there will always be a war or someone fighting in the name of God When God never told them anything!

Many people believe that all religions are pleasing to God, but the bible does not teach that. It is not even enough just to claim to be a Christian. Jesus said: "Not everyone saying to me, 'Lord, 'Lord, will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will." To have God's approval, therefore, we must learn what God requires of us and do it. Jesus called those who do not do God's will "workers of lawlessness."(Matthew 7:21-23) Like counterfeit money, false religion has no real value. Even worse such religion is actually harmful.

Al Quada does not represent true Islam, likewise acts of terror by so-called Christians don't represent true Christianity..
The Spanish Inquisition was not exactly popular with Protestant Christians (who were being inquired of).
The Salem Witch Trials were not popular with Christians who weren't Puritan (Christian ministers and church members were also put on trial).
The Crusades were just as much political as they were religious.
Why is that question asked on here every single day?

i admire the teachings of Jesus ... and i know there are some wonderful Christians out there who do their best to follow his teachings
so i have nothing against it as a whole
it is the hypocritical ones who do the stoning that is the problem for sure

Christianity was founded by the Romans at the time of their decline. Technically, the Roman Empire didn't fall just took on other face....Religion. Christianity has always been about politics not about God or Jesus. LOL...Romans killed Jesus and venerated him and his mother to a God like figure. Ingenious!

Well,I relaize you don't have a problem with Jesus. But alot of people do. Obviously people aren't perfect so the acts they carry out in god/jesus's name are often flawed.
