On Sunday Nov. 12th I need to meet someone at the Greenbelt Station in MD at 7:45 am. I'm in NYC and don't know how to get there since I don't have a car. Does anyone know the cheapest way through public transportation? An online search brings up too many links without the info I need.

Take Amtrak down from NYC to Union Station, DC. Then take the Red line Metro (subway) to Fort Totten station and transfer to the Green line. Get off at Greenbelt Metro Station.

You might want to check train times/ etc. to ensure you get to Greenbelt Metro station in time.

You can take the Greyhound/Peter Pan bus from Port Authority. They sell tickets from the same location, right on the street level of the building. The fare is $40.

The buses leave often, but you should allow about four or five hours to get there. There shouldn't be much traffic at that hour, but you never know!

Here are all the stations:

Annapolis
Baltimore Downtown
Baltimore Travel Plaza
Easton
Frederick
Hagerstown
New Carrollton
Ocean City
Salisbury
Silver Spring
Univ Of Md Eastern Shore

I am not sure which is closest, but you can probably get the train to the Greenbelt station from most of them.

First of all mapquest is really over rated and their times are horribly in accurate. Belt Parkway thru Bklyn over the Verranzano Bridge to 440 SOUTH Over Outerbridge crossing South on the New Jersey Tpke until the end Over the delaware Memorial bridge and take US 13 South through Dover pick US 113 South at dover and take it into Ocean City
