Is it a happening town? Are there alot of clubs or bars?

It is the home of the University of Notre Dame, so being a college town, there are a few spots to be had. But it's not as spectacular as Bloomington.

I have been to South Bend a few times. It seems to be a nice town and I went to a very fun bar while there, but it depends on what you are into.

I don't party there much, but Notre Dame is in SB, so I guess there has to be some decent bars around.
