Was there only a single brand and configuration in 1975? Huh! I'd like to know what the price of THAT car is too.

It depends on the make, model and options and also the dealership from where it was bought. Just like today, in 1975, cars ranged in price from the enty level to the more sophisticated sports and luxury cars.

they started at 4,000 and went up to 23,000.
Why you have a time machine and want to go back and buy a car in 1975? You do know the bank account you have now will not travel with you. (j.k)

A fully loaded full size Ford with all the extra's was about $6,000. That same car today is $20,000 or more.
