suzuki and kia are both crap. Hyundai is getting better, but I wouldn't buy their cheap stuff just yet. The Aveo is a Daewoo in disguise.

I would say a Honda, as all the foreign cars are dominating the market not only in quality but performance as well. They are overall a lot cheaper and have many updates in safety features. If you don't get a Honda for sure get a foreign car, their are a few that sell for under $14,000. Saturn also produces a quality car for a reasonable price and they are still under $14,000.

Chevrolet aveo, or a cheap Cobalt. Ford Focus is very good too.
