What is your 16 year old like? Hey, I'll put it out; I'm sweet 16 myself, and I NEVER ask for much. All I ask is my computer and my ability to do printmaking. Because I ask for so little, my parents often try to pay for the things that I want (a certain book for example), and I try not to have them pay, as much as I can help it. I do have that attitude that if I let them pay, I'll have a bigger debt to owe. But they say one of the joys of having a child is to be able to provide for him or her, and say I've raised him to be this wonderful person.

Say, what are you doing asking strangers such questions about raising your grandson? Are you that insecure? Want someone to pat you on the shoulder and say that you are right? Lady, if at your age, you are this uncertain, then I pity the boy!
Someone told me that if you are right; you are right. Stick by it.

Interesting. I would say, the dog needs 2-3 walks a day if he is that over weight. Overall I think your problem is very solve-able.
