Drink TONS of water...it will fill you up, you won't want to eat as much, and then just eat several small extremely healthy and nutricious meals a day. Don't do anything unsafe...the weight wouldn't stay off anyway and you could end up hurting yourself.

You can easily avoid putting on extra weight by not eating after 6 PM (or better yet, 5 PM). It's not quick, but you can do it daily and you can stick to it (unlike fad diets or pills). My sister did this for the longest time. I mean, she was never fat to begin with, but she insisted that she lost weight on it. I think my mom did it and lost weight on it too.
The problem with eating after 6 and close to bedtime is that when you eat a meal (or even a snack), you get a lot of glucose. When that glucose goes into your bloodstream, if your body doesn't need it for energy, it basically gets stored as fat for you to use as a reserve later. Of course, you're going to sleep, and when you wake up you're going to eat more, so you don't need that reserve, and it stays as fat. You burn significantly fewer calories when you're sleeping (going for a brisk walk already burns something like 200 calories an hour, but when you're sleeping, I think it's like 60), which is why you don't need all that extra glucose.
If you're looking for quick weight loss, you can just drink grapefruit juice whenever you feel hungry. Not the sugary stuff! Fresh squeezed. Limit bad carbohydrates and processed foods and start going all-natural. Try replacing meat with tofu. There's no real "quick weight loss" system that allows you to keep it off forever without the use of certain drugs.

Depends on how much weight you want to lose. 5-10 pounds? Exercise for 1 hour, 7 days a week, drinking plenty of water and eating no more than 1200 calories. Want to lose less? Fast for one day. Want to lose more? Work out more, eat less. Rice diet is great for quick weight loss.

QUICK! lol, sorry I know that might come off as being harsh, but you have to understand, the ONLY way you can loose "weight" is by flushing your GI track. This is what I did, for about 3 months and noticed that if I ate LESS then I actually gained more weight.
Eat for about a week 5 high in fiber fruits, 2 small salads (one with lunch and dinner), stay away from ALL chips, candy soda, junk food of any kind, fried foods, anything that was cooked with butter or margarine, gravy, and anything that had the words DIET on it (something about diet made me want to eat more cause I figured I could eat more , the extra salt and junk in it made me gain more weight) remember to take a multi-vitamin, eat a total of 2500 cal a day, drink a tall glass of water before every meal, and walk every day (kind of like a fast pace) for about one hour and a half. This will only work for short term, you will loose about 5-20 lbs, depending if you walk more or less.
From my personal experience, I found that if I still walked long or more every other day, it helped keep the weight off. I did not eat that much fruit cause the sugar in them killed my teeth. I still take a multi-vitamin once a week, just in case I do not get the stuff I need in my food. I still drink s tall glass of water before lunch and dinner, breakfast I learned was not such a great idea. Then I moved my cal intake to 2750 a day, without any junk food, sugar & salt added to my food, avoided eating extra candy (but treat myself once in a while when I visit the mall and get ONE See's candy!) For you, you might want to treat yourself once in a great while, and buy the small bag. I found that when I do, If I want to eat the whole bag I will not feel bad rather than eating the larger bag i would have bought.
I pray that God will help you with your short and long term goals.
