If you were going out with a girl, and she had a medical problem and needed to wear a wig, but it was sewn to the little bit of hair she had and it looked really natural would you care? Or would you dump her? Would you want to know up front, or would it not matter, since it couldnt like move around or anything??

Please answer honestly.

I am a woman with a medical condition who has to wear a wig.....My condition will never go away.....it does not affect my health in any way. It does not make me any different on the inside nor does it make me "wierdo"....it's a medical condition...nothing I can control...and IF your a MAN....your girlfriends condition won't matter to you either...... I can assure you from her point of view.....if she could change it she would....she would LOVE to have her own natural hair...blowing in the breeze....getting hair cuts like every body else does...being able to try maybe a new color, or a new style any time she wanted to....for God sakes....take HER feeling into consideration too.....she feels self conscience enough (whether you know it or not)....without having to worry about whether the one person in the world she SHOULD be able to trust in has doubts because of a physical appearance! My wig is not "sewn" in to what little hair I have....(and I'm more than certain her isn't either)....they are more uncomfortable than any clothing article you could ever put on your body... very very hot in the summertime...and quite often very itchy. ..... Let me tell ya this.......her inner feelings are WAY more important than her outward appearance...and who cares if she wears a wig?? Do you only care about her for her appearance, or do you care about her for WHO she is????? I have a wonderful husband who supports me in every emotional and mental aspect that he possibly can...and no...I didn't tell him about my "condition" right away, I told him about it in my own time...when I felt I was ready to tell him...if you want to keep this lady...I suggest you do the same.....Is that honest enough for ya......

I think it would definitely be something she needs to address at some point early in the relationship. I have a girlfriend who wears a wig due to having brain cancer when she was young. She has told guys on first dates about it and it has scared them off. So it would be be hard - maybe best to wait until they really like her before sharing that kind of information - that way they might be more receptive to it.

I don't think it should matter. But I do think that it would probably hurt his feelings if the he and the girl became serious and she felt like she couldn't tell him. I think that if he dumped her it would be b/c he was hurt, not b/c the wig bothered him.

If I really cared about her it wouldn't matter at all. To decide if you want to be with someone based on their outer appearance isn't fair. You should care about someone enough to look beyond the outside and see what's in their heart.

Why should it matter what someone is wearing or how someone is wearing it. What counts is the love they have to give to you and what you can give to them. Everything else is superficial
