Well, at 14 your options are a bit limited. You do need to eat to survive so eat moderately and don't feel guilty. However, you are not powerless. Do you have an allowance or a part time job? You can buy yourself fruits and other healthy foods. Talk to your parents and offer to help them in the kitchen in exchange for healthier meals. Work together as a family. Cooking is a huge responsibility and takes time. I'm guessing your mom would be happy for the help and it just might be the little push she needs to get the family eating better. Do the best you can with what you've got. Make it an adventure. Look up some recipes to try together. Good luck.

Not at all. Animals are there to eat. If that offends the "animal rights activist", too bad. Animals aren't humans, and they're given by God to eat.
