I dont know too much about NC or your particular area, but you should try places like The Boys and Girls club (depending on your age), the YMCA, or you can also try sneaking inot the game rooms at hotels. The first two might require a membership, but remember that a poolhall with out drinking or smoking usually arent very profitable, so the owners have no incentives to stay that way.

I live in Durham and all the ones round here are bars/ poolhalls.

I don't think that law has been passed yet in NC. There are two many hicks there and most smoke and drink. Go to Hammond IN and see what you can find.
