Now have been told by my close friend that he loves me. After I asked him what are his feelings toward me. well after he told me that he loves me, i asked him why? he never responded. I kept asking him, the last time i asked, he said to just forget that he said it so i can chill out. Well after that he also told me that being that we are long distant, a relationship can't happened. So i asked, so you rather be friends? He said friends. Now he hasn't return any of my phone calls or text messages. and when he does return them, he always says everytime that he is busy and that he will call me back. But he never does. Why is he acting like that if he said that he loves me? And what should i do?

You pushed him, and that wasn't fair. He admitted something to you, and you just couldn't accept it for what it was. He doesn't need to explain "why" he loves you....he just does. Men HATE to be asked that question "why?". Hey, it's the school of hard knocks. Being that it is a long distance relationship, don't get too upset about it. They usually don't work out.

When a guy says he loves you and you ask him 'why' the relationship is doomed for faliure. Do you have such low esteem that you need him to explain his feelings? I'm guessing that he got freaked out and didn't want to get involved with you...and was afraid that you'd make him feel guilty for not loving you the way you feel he should. Next time, just chill...let the guy be the one who opens up without you making the first move, that way you save on one very important thing; your pride.

I think right now he realized that his true feelings came out without fully knowing. But once it hit him, he saw that the distance was going to be an issue, so therefore doubt enters his mind and he is probably in a state of confusion. I would just talk about some more, and see what happens from there.

When you were asking "why," he probably felt self-conscious and is now embarrassed because he told you that he loved you and all that you could answer to him was "why." He probably will avoid you until he feels comfortable again. Talk to him about it if you still want to maintain the friendship, but make it very clear what you want. You wouldn't want to lead him on or make him miserable for no reason.

Move on. Forget him. He is not interested anymore. Save your self respect and enjoy the company of another person.

Maybe he didn't mean it when he said that he loved you or he's afraid that this is it for him and he can't go out and flirt with other girls if he's in love with you. Boys always do that...freak out before they commit. That's what I think...he'll come around.

Sounds like you smothered him and chased him away. Either that, or he is just a jerk. Hard to tell without more info. But in any event, it's time for you to move on.

What you should do is stop bugging him and let him figure out what he wants. Why should you continue to spend your time worrying about what he is thinking, keep yourself busy and get on with it. He's playing games..
