Can someone help me make sense of this Cigar Box Amp?

I have no idea what any of these parts are, and the diagram is somewhat confusing. Could someone please explain this to me. Now I wish I had taken electric instead of masonry in high school, haha. Thanks.

Sure. It's a term that has been around for ages with electronics hobbyists. It's a circuit that you build inside a cigar box. People used to build cigar box radio receivers and transmitters and an amp is just an amplifier. In fact I believe someone actually markets a guitar amp in a cigar box.
