I mean there is only one God. Even if many divine incarnations came on earth like Jesus, Buddha, Mohamed, Krishna and others they still talked about One God and about our salvation (nirvana, the kingdom of god, moksha etc) people have transformed the oryginal message amd now they think they know everything about God

The problem is that everyone IS arguing about RELIGION. Ok first of all yes I am Christian in that I follow Christ, but I don't claim a sect (e.g. Baptist, Pentacostal, etc...), and I'm not going to force my beliefs on anyone. The thing most people (especially "religious" people) don't get is that it is not about being religious, it is about haveing a relationship with the loveing God who created you. Most people choose a religion, (or choose not to) based on the structure that they like, or the rules they are willing to follow, or just because it is how they were raised, but think about it really, if you do believe in a God, whatever you may call him, then it only makes sense to ask HIM how he wants you to live, not your church. Believe me, if you ask he WILL answer you.

People have been fighting about religion for as long as we know or for however long there have been records of wars. The reason? Religion is completely up to one's decision, and no matter how you argue it, there just isn't one obvious right religion to follow or believe in. However, religion is something that we believe strongly in and so we are willing to do anything to defend it, including kill others who protest it. So, unless there is some huge drastic revolution in society soon this isn't going to change, but maybe someone will finally find a better solution than having wars on the issue.

Religion is one of many ways that people are united. We can also be united by race, geography, language, standard of living, laws, etc.

When those who desire power want it, they look to socializing with a group that can deliver that power to them. If the strength is found in a specific religion, and that religion has influence, power, wealth, and flexibility to allow this power-monger to move up within their ranks, well - - - there you have it.

Many a person has used religion as a format, a springboard into getting the power that they seek. And the agenda that this person has will come about and be presented in the mission statement that he/she instigates. Zealots will look for "leaders" that thrive on the power and have the skills to pull people together into meeting the objectives of the group or the group leader.

It is unfortunate that democracy is so rare, in that, all classes of people can live in harmony with equal status and power.

If two people make conflicting statements, they can't both be true. While some religions have some common ground, they are quite opposed, and they cannot all be true. Only one can be true. It is noble to want everyone to be right, but some religions make exclusive claims which, if they were true, would negate the validity of all others.

I am trying to think of who "wants" to fight about it. I know that Catholicism in say the 11th century certainly did, and Islam certainly does. The rest have to be judged on the basis of their teaching, not on the basis of what their adherents practice.

There are religious fanatics in every religion. Their ego, ignorance, and stupidity to see past their little world causes them to argue about something they too cannot prove or disprove. Unfortunately these fools believe that their blind faith is beyond all and spend their lives arguing instead of trying to figure out the real god who is beyond any books.

No one religion was "saved" when the tsunami came, all were screwed equally. :) The real god is the one who applies his laws to all of us equally and no matter how much anyone argues, you cant change that fact.

Is there only one god? How do you know? By the way, Buddha was an atheist and nirvana is a mental state, not a place. Anyway, people fight about religion because people (even like you) pretend to have knowledge they don't really have, then try to convince the rest of us to follow their version of truth.

It's that Exclusivity doctrine: Only one religion can be "right", and therefore everyone else must be wrong, misled, or outright evil. And naturally every single sect insists that they are the ones who have it right. Never mind that there are as many different versions of God as there are theists.

true.

The reason is because the world confuses us. Unity exists in the mind alone. All other things interfer with this unity. The world is diverse parts, and everyone is on their own, so their self is the unity that they experience in the world. Regardless of all information, the truth is that you are one Self that you experience in changing ways. You can have multiple thoughts, personalities, exchanges with yourself, love and hatred for yourself, but it is still your self, no one else's, and above all, just one. You have one body, one mind you can use in an infinite number of ways, and one self. That is the truth. I'll say it again cause it sounds so great. I HAVE ONE SELF. YOU HAVE ONE SELF. WE EACH HAVE ONE SELF.

And that my friends, is real liberation. I don't need the bible or science to be liberated, I have knowledge. LA LA LAL AL LA LA LA

That is part of the key to "salvation". Treat others how you wish to be treated.
It is my opinion that people fight over religion because they often take what people say to be a personal attack on them and their beliefs.
