Your Speakers Should ALL be the Same, apart from a Sub Woofer(Which should be slightly bigger and look more like a Box)

On the back of Each speaker there might be a Guide mark (i.e. L=Left,R=Right,C=Centre,R.S.L=Rear Surround left,R.S.R= Rear Surround Right)
If they do not then you can mix them any way you wish!
Hope you fix it up !

I don't recommend connecting ANY speakers to your TV set...In fact, I wouldn't even have the TV sound turned on if you truly have a "6.1" home theater...You need to hook the speakers to a "6.1 Home Theater Receiver"...This is simply a stereo that can run up to 6 speakers at once...The "little" speakers are placed all around you and the "big" speaker is the "sub-woofer" and plays only the bass..."6.1 Home Theater Receivers" start at about a $150 and go up from there...Be sure to get one that's rated at least "50 watts x 6"...The number "6" after the "watts" refers to how many speakers you can hook to it..."50 watts x 5" would only allow for 5 (five) speakers to be hooked to it...Click on the link below to see an entry level model at BestBuy.com...

take a seem at this unit, Onkyo HT-S6200 for below $600. it somewhat is a 7.a million receiver and seven.a million speaker set up which could cope with DD-genuine HD and DTS-genuine HD loss much less audio. upload a Panasonic DB-60 blu ray disc participant for below $200 and you're set. you are able to demo the object at Fry's digital shop. desire this would help you out.

newer tvs have the optical output on the back.. plug a optical cable from the tv and connect it to your reciever.. the big speakers are the front.. small ones are the back 3 and one long and small for the center.. connect those to the reciever..
