Must be nice. I had a string of terrible teachers. An old lady who called me stupid as a second grade teacher, yet somehow I had As and Bs. Fourth grade teacher was an alcoholic who came in drunk most of the time. She got arrested for tying up a kid with an extention cord, plugged one end into the wall and threatened to put the other end in his mouth, thus creating her own electric chair. When I got to high school, the teachers were so afraid of thre students, that I didn't learn anything from them I can honestly say I have never followed a guru

Try to be nice at first, but some people don't take hints lightly. You may need to be forceful.
Also, if being alone is something you have made a conscience decision about, that is fine. If not, you may want too seek some help to try to solve whatever it is that is keeping you from wanting to have relationships.

You are never alone---no man or woman is an island. You always have Christ with you. As far as human are concerned, you need people just as much as they need you. Do not reject everybody that comes along. Obviously, you do not want to associate with everyone that knocks on your door, unless you are a minister of God, then associations regardless of personality are necessary. It can get very, very lonely without any sort of companionship whatsoever. Reconsider the lifestyle tha you want to live. If you have had a bad go of it with one or more people in the past, then welcome to the club. Forgive them in your heart and move on with life. Do not allow past circumstances to kill the rest of your life. Do not bury yourself in books, or TV or the computer---these are no substitute for human relations. Jesus loves you.

Be as blunt as possible, because they will just take it another way or not listen to you if you try to sugarcoat it.
