I would like to know which is better: a Sony alpha or a HDR-SR1 HD camcorder.

I also dont know what to do with all the Footage, if I buy a HDR-Sr1
Because 4 hours of HD is 30 gigabytes, where would I store.. say 20 hours?

PLEASE, answer quickly! this is Urgent!

Buy and camera. If you buy a camcorder, you will get good video (picture quality at best 640x480, no matter what they claim). If you get a camera with video capability you will get good pictures and decent quality video. It also depends on which is more important to you. The Sony (I personally don't care for Sony products) cameras have some of the best quality sound for video.

Hope this helps, -k-

well ..I don't think you will ever l tape 20 hours in raw ...even if you get enough batteries to keep runnig so long - a regular battery is good for 1 maybe 2 hours - you will get tired.

so
is simple:
...for good pictures, I mean high quality photos you want a digital camera 8 to 10 Megapixels.
...for good movie quality you want a good camcorder ...
