Allah has created angels for many reasons, some of them just worship Him all the time (endlessly), others are charged with special Jobs, like the angel of mountains, the angel of rains,...., others are charged with protecting humans from some dangers that may threaten them, by Satan.

On the other hand, Satan was given the free will, and he chose to disobey Allah.

angels do have free will, but they...why am I answering this question?

Look, the point is, who has more choice, good people or bad people? You could say in theory that good people have to do good, whereas bad people could do good or bad, but if they did good, they wouldn't be bad.

Who has more choice, a good person that pays his taxes and loves his family, or a criminal? Who has more choice, a person who enjoys nature, or an internet fraud?

Think about it. The more crimes you do, the more you're wanted. But the opposite is also true.

So, who do you think has more freedom? Angels or demons?

Also, in a fictional manner, demons might have more superpowers, but they are only used to try and satisfy their endless desires. So for all the powers they have, they will never find satisfaction. Whereas angels are already in heaven and have enjoyment.

Satan demanded free will. He took it by force. The other "holy" angels are satisfied with following- like sheep led to the slaughter.

thats christianity. in judaism (and the bible), satan is an angel of G-d just like any other. there was no "fall" and he is definitely not some rival power to G-d.

Angels do have free will. Otherwise how could some of them have chosen to rebel against God, thereby forfeiting heaven?

They do. That's why a third of them rebelled with Satan.

He took it. He celebrated it. He refused to be a sheep.

Thus becoming the model for Mankind. Remember, God didn't want humans to have free will either. He wanted pets. But someone prodded us to eat the naughty apple. Lucifer Triumphans!
