There are actually supposed to be 12 million Christians in the middle East right now, but they were all killed off. First there was the Assyrian massacre, and then the Armenian one. There are 12 million Armenians and Assyrians in the world today. Also, about 165,000 people are killed every year for there faith in Christ. What is to be done about this?

We are simply telling everyone who wants to accept it, and if they don't, that's fine. The problem is, the truth is spreading like wildfire, and people are scared. So the y just kill us all I guess.

All these answers are ridiculous. The Assyrian Genocide happened, as did the Armenian and Greek Genocides--committed by the Ottoman Turks. People do not recognize these Genocides because Turkey wishes to believe they never happened when they DID occur. My ancestors migrated from southern Turkey to northern Iraq to escape the Genocide. Assyrians were being killed simply because they were Christians. Christians in the Middle East, especially today in Iraq, are being killed. Just last week or so an Assyrian teenager was crucified in Iraq for the whole city to watch. These terrorizing Muslims then sell DVDs of how they behead and torture Christians to others, completely devastating to hear. I still have relatives in Iraq who have to live with this everyday. Many Assyrians have left to other countries. To answer your question, no one cares about what is happening. Muslims in Iraq certainly do not, and the Kurdish president couldn't care less. We simply need to pray for those in need, and hope God will keep them safe from harms way. Thank you for asking such an important question, a question which unfortunately does not have an answer.

Pray real hard, and maybe the god you love so much will send someone to go kill all the unbelievers and the infidels, just like he did in the old testament. Unbelievable! What do you call the Crusades? What's to be done about all the muslims dying and dead in Iraq? Christianity persecutes more people than are persecuted because of it, and always has. Everytime I see a question like this, I wonder about the state of humanity we've sunk to. Everyone thinks their faith is the one true faith, and everyone else needs to die because of it. What can be done? Outlaw all religions. All over the world. I'm sick to death of christians throwing themselves a pity party, when we're waging what is essentially a holy war in Iraq right now, and forgetting how many have died throughout history in their God's name.

I'm very sorry for the Christians that were killed in the Middle East.

Shall we discuss the 600,000 to 9 million people burned and tortured to death during the Inquisition for being witches?

Or the countless Native Americans who were massacred when Christianity crossed over from Europe, either through outright stealing of their land or the spreading of disease?

We could say the exact same thing for the African peoples who were trampled when European Christians decided to colonize Africa.

While I'm certainly saddened to hear that any group - anywhere - is being massacred, why don't you chew on my points before we discuss CHRISTIAN persecution in particular, as if they're the only ones worth discussing.

Bright Blessings.

You can do a lot. First of all pray. Secondly, gather as much information as you can and make a presentation. Go to the headquarters of each major faith based organization in your area, and not just Christian churches but Synagogues and Mosques as well. Get the input of their leaders and start a dialog. Keep your own church updated every week on your progress and get volunteers from different churches to help you create brochures to send to people detailing the horrors of what's going on.

In the brochures include a donation envelope, a list of Senators and Representatives for people to contact and a sample letter for people to send to Congress. Have a rally once the ball gets rolling. Raise as much money as you can and start finding ways to send aid in the form of resistance and survival strategies to Christians in hostile countries and correspond with the brave souls overseas whom are leaders of underground Christian communities.

Keep lobbying Congress for action. Keep praying. Keep as many people informed as you can. The secular media won't do it, so someone else needs to. God bless you for your gift of stewardship, and good luck to you; if you feel so led, I know you can make a difference and inspire others to try as well.

Karma really does come 'round full circle!

Wiccans were killed for their faith because of the Christians and then they began Christianizing Pagan holidays, rituals, customs, etc and making them their own. How fair is that?

I do not condone these killings but Wiccans have faced persecution for many many years because of the Christians. It's about time they see what it's like.

Kill them or send them all to a great big island with a limited food supply where they can all burn each other at the stake one by one.

We can't. It's going to happen, regardless.

If everyone stopped talking and became monks, there would be no persecution, great wine and the human race would die off quickly; hopefully to be replaced by something that makes more use of its faculties.
