To forgive somebody can require a lot of strength, and I thank god for the strength he has given me-I have always found forgiveness and would never refuse to forgive but sometimes its taken a while to find the forgiveness and let go of the act behind the person I want to forgive.

If you are spiritual and if Religion is your ultimate goal, you should not stop forgiving a person because there is god who will decide to punish him or forgive him. If you do not forgive you are doing against God and spirituality. Mahatma Gandhi was hit on one side of his face, he showed other side to the person, that person understood he did huge mistake by hitting a person like him.
Gandhi showed his other side only to make him realize that he is not having emotions like anger, revenge but only had feeling of forgiveness. But in todays world the same person will hit the other side of the face because of lack of morals, ethics, Spirituality.

I would like first to clarify that Allah does not have a son nor a wife.
And about your question, Ideally man should forgive any thing or any bad action from people ONCE they knew they are wrong and asked for forgiveness.

At what point does God stop forgiving us? He commands us to forgive so we can receive His forgiveness. That doesn't mean that we still have to associate with that person, but we are commanded to forgive.

You should never stop forgiving someone. It says in the bible to forgive 7x70. But that doesn't mean only 490 times. That means you should always forgive. If we stop forgiving the Christ could stop forgiving us. We should always forgive.

when someone keeps taking advantage of you and your feelings its becomes very hard to forgive and especially to forget..we are human..just try to stay away from that person, i dont know if they are your family or what not. that way you can forgive but it takes longer to forget, thats for sure. just be done with them, wash your hands of them, pray for help on forgiving them and pray for them. thats what i did when i changed my life, but my friends didnt..i found a different group to hang around with and i run into those friends from time to time and i dont have any harsh feelings for them like i used to when they did do the same things over and over to me. its like i forgot even what i was mad at them about so many years ago. try not to let it get the best of you. but always forgive, just take yourself out of the predicument.

OOOOHHH...great question!
The "right" answer, of course, is "when God stops forgiving", which would mean, "never"....
Which, of course, would be a lie,
Which, of course, would be a sin,
Which, of course, would call for God to forgive me,
Which, of course, He will do.......
BUT...the truth is, as a human being, there is a limit to my forgiveness.....
GREAT question!!!!!!!!
