Firts and for most I think men and wemon like you are the reason America can consider themselves world leaders, its soliders that pick up their fire arms and fight for a reason uknown to the majority but yet do so because they feel that the people that were give the power to run their country are have made the right decision. Without people like yourself these political leaders would not be able to do the things that they do, you and many other soliders should be honored and valued more by the country you are fighting for, by the citizens, and the politians, and I with that said I solute you. Know I feel that illegals should have the right to better their families lives, to flee poverty, and a corrupted government even if it means entering a country illegall, just think about it thats what the pilgrams but we all know that story a little to well. They killed for this land, comitted acts of genosid, and now they are "PROTECTING" the same land that they robed from the natives from those who are just trying to better thier family lives. America to this day consist of a large variety of ethnic people this country was founded on immagrants who wanted to do the same thing the immagrants want today, but they executed it in a different way. So with that said Americans who are against illegals are hypocrits and need to remember how they got here. On the other hand I do think a comprehensive strategy is needed to maintain a balance to accomadate so many people.

We appreciate your service in pro of this great country. I have a son who is soon to be listed in the service. And he will be doing his duty as an american, mexican descendant.
Still, right is right and wrong is wrong, there are no half cups in this issue. I came with a working permit, I picked tomatoes, strawberries... a lotta vegetables, I lived my calvary, then, I was granted residency and finally, citizenship. Some may say things were made easy for me, but I had my ration of hard work. I earned my degree, became an accountant. I try to do things right and bless the country that opened the doors to me. If I was to come Illegaly, then, I would't come at all. I would keep my dignity and stay in Mexico.

What do I have to say about you? You seem very eager for an excuse to tell everyone you served in Iraq, got a medal, and are a cop.

If you are legal, I appreciate, honor and congratulate you. Don't you feel bad for the Mexicans that cannot get here legally because the illegals have taken over? You need loyalty to them whether American or Mexican.

Do you support illegals or do you support the financial survival of people who are leaving Mexico to create a better life for themselves?
Like all true Americans, we should be motivated to help the world to better their lives and livelihoods....particularly people that are poor, underpriviledged, or persecuted. HOWEVER... there is a limit to how much you can help everyone without losing the advantage you have for yourself.
Let's say you have a thousand dollars. You can give 5 dollars to everyone you see that really needs it. But if you don't teach those people how to recreate this wealth for themselves eventually you will be down to $0 and unable to help anyone.
Currently, illegals are often just seeking to have a better life for their families. They generate a good labor force at the expense of higher pay for legal citizens in some jobs. There are benefits for all to be had...but eventually the free party will end. It is win-win for short term money for everyone...but when it comes to health insurance or benefits for citizens, overtime, illegals can drain what wealth this country generates for its poor.
Poor people are present in all countries including the US. Wouldn't it be ideal if we gave to our own citizens first? There needs to be a limit to how much our government can give. Afterall, if citizens start to suffer...it isn't going to be so good for illegals. Illegals want to be treated well and make decent money, if they bite the hand that feeds them...they may make it bad for everyone in the long run.
I think that everyone would love to have the benefits of working in the US....why is it that a few who sneek in...should be getting all the candy in the basket.
I consider myself open minded. But there needs to be a better way than letting illegal behavior be acceptable.

If you are a cop and you support illegals, I hope you support all criminal activities by legal citizens as well or else you are a hypocrite. I think you are entitled to your own opinion, but as someone who has sworn to uphold the law, I think you are on the wrong side of the issue.

AND THE HARD WORK and I see the carrying for other people. I WISH EVERYONE HAD THE SAME VIEW AS WE DO. BUT people looks for things to complain about. They do not see the good in people. My husbands treats my to grown children and my two grandchildren as his own. I cannot ask for no better. He treats me with the most respect. we have been together for 9 years.

You know this country is a melting pot of imagrants. hence culture clash's etc... I support imagrants but not illegal imagrants .. I have a diffrent found respect for the imagrants that make it in this country legally.. Its almost a slap in the face when they talk about how great this country is then "illegals" come here illegally.. Give back by doing it the right way.. have some respect for your culture, family, ethinticty and yourself..

Cool, I am Mexican-American. I know alot of illegal immigrants who served in the army in Iraq. Then, if they come back home alive, the U.S. gives them their citizenship. But then the natural born citizens want to hurt the illegal now legal citizen. For example, I saw on the news that some cop killed a Mexican-American soldier. That is just loco, I think that people are just stupid, they are like monkeys or gorillas or some crazy animal like that. And i congratulate you for your bravery medals, you should try to run for an office or something. But if I am drafted into the army, my bullets will be heading both ways.

did serving as a cop teach you anything about the sovereignty of our nations laws? or are some laws OK to break? and other laws not OK to break? which laws are OK to break, in case the MPs pull me over. If they throw me in the brig anyway, I will blame you and the double standard applied to Americans and to Criminals. Criminals get a pass, and Americans pay the tab. Citizens pay the tab when their identities are stolen, and lives ruined because they end up paying the tab, for the taxes and ruined credit. Hospitals also shut down because they are legally obligated to treat ANYONE who comes through the doors, regardless if they can pay or not. This equals free healthcare for illegals, schmucks like the rest of us pay. And the hospitals shut down because they cant pay the tab either.
