well unless you're in a position to put a roof over his head you can't tell him where to live

If 'you' aren't a tennant, you sadly don't come into the equation. Yep, it's annoying being a couple (when onlt one of you live there) in a shared house & the bedroom being the only private space - but it's a whole lot cheeper than renting on your own :)
The 'right environment' ...... you make it sound as you're a pair of hampsters - make the most of what you have!

If you live there, yes but if you dont then its up to him to ultimately decide. If theres no privacy there, about your place? Or if you do live there then I agree with you. Talk to him,see if you two can manage the bills on your own or find a smaller place. Especially if youve been together a while. I dont like living with other people either.

You're right there is no privacy and sharing a house there usually isn't much.

He doesn't have the place to himself so if you want privacy you'll have to go somewhere else.

If you really care for each other you will find a way.

As far as issue of privacy comes it is difficult, but not impossible to achieve in given situation.Further privacy is a personal term that degree of privacy vary person to person and issue to issue.
If can afford have an independent house.

what about your place?

I'm assuming if you two are always at his place that yours is not 'the right environment for a couple'. you're not wrong in thinking this but if your home is the same way than you're just at much at fault as he is. Get used to it.

My boyfriend lives alone, i live with roommates. When we want to be alone we're at his place, when we don't care or would like company than we're at mine.

I totally agree that would be really hard. I'm sooooo glad my boyfriend doesn't have any roommates.

But what is your boyfriend's financial situation? Is it impossible for him to live by himself? It would definitely be more expensive for him. If he has to have roommates, you're going to have to just live with it. Be patient and look forward to the day when you can move in together. ALONE.

Definitely, if you two do not have any privacy maybe you guys should go to a hotel or go to your place or something.

part of dating someone is accepting everything about them - they're personality, their likes and dislikes, AND where they live.

You just have to decide if you can get over it or not. You most definitely cannot change it, unless you have your own place and you can have him over to your place more often.
