Its not a waste of time.... Some guys like that type of stuff, some are just immature. Poetry is a great way to express your feelings and how you really feel about a person. I know because I write Poetry for a living, My book will be in stores in late December

Some will say that a poem to a man,
Is the most romantic thing a woman can
send to a guy to melt his heart
to show the emotions and love from the start
to put into words the what you really feel
and hoping that it will keep it so real
but the truth of the matter I am sorry to say
is he will not see it that way
and the truth of the matter is to make him succumb

No not at all. I moved a way to Banff for a few months and while I was there I wrote a poem about my boyfriend back home. One weekend after I moved back home, I found the poem in my suitcase and read it to him. He started crying. I never thought he would cry over something like that. I decided to type it up on nice paper and put it in a frame and give it to him for a Christmas gift. He was so appreciative and said it was the best gift he's ever received.

I think that if a women takes the time to write her man a poem he should appreciate it. And im sure most guys do, but first you have to know is he into that lovey-dovey kinda thing if not then he will most likely pretend to love it

Nope not at all Guys may act like they are all hardcore but really they like to be shown love just like a woman does I mean don't get down on one knee and recite it to him rose in hand with all his buddies around that would make him feel stupid and them call him gay!!! But Men like to know they are loved as much as the next person chances are they way it would make you feel if a guy wrote a special poem just for you is the same way it will make him feel!!! trust me On this I write poetry as well and my ex bf was as manly as they come buffed out tattooed biker the whole nine and he loved it when I would write poetry for him he would get all loving when I would send him my feelings scripted out into a special poem!!! Go for it honey theres nothing for you to lose! But writing your feelings down is a very therapeutic thing! if you don't send it getting those words out will keep you from getting all sappy in person ,and its much easier for some men to not get all gushy when your together!!!And on top of that you will have a beautiful piece of art (and yes it is art) to look back upon years down the road!!!!

for an expiriment ... go and buy a 3 dollar card and see what he does with it... Reads it then throws it away..... Do not waste your time... they ( most) dont care ... all they want is the big reward at the end.... write all your poems ... then get them published... that is the way to go. Hopefully there are guys out there that do like them .. and appriciate all the work that goes in to it ... But if your asking chances are ... you allready know .. your answer.

no not at all ! sometimes it will let them know your deapest feelings, also 4 some people its easier to exspess themselves on paper . so dont be afraid of writting a love poem.

Yes, poetry confuses us. we are simple creatures. Just write your feelings in plan English, it will come across alot clearer. Also include as many details as possible. Men are visual learners, so if you can paint a picture in our mind you will win us over.
