I live in Winter Park Florida and just bought one of those cardboard fireplaces, I can't seem to find fake fire logs. I tried all of the local department stores, ie: Kmart, Walmart, and Target, with no luck. I did look on Ebay, but the shipping is more than the fake logs. Does anyone know where I can find them?

This fake fire place already comes with a cardboard fire.

I have checked with home depot and lowes and they don't have any, any more suggestions would be appreciated.

Just buy a small bundle of the firewood from Publix. Oh wait, I just realized you probably want the ones that light up or appear lit.

Check a Michael's craft store, Lowe's or Home Depot. They get a ton of Christmas Decor for the Holidays. In Tampa we have a year round Christmas warehouse. Check your phone book you should have one over there also.

Good Luck.

Your doing this for just LOOKS, right? I wonder if you could use (from Michael's Craft store) the colored clear wraps. If you could get it in a brown like color and put a twenty five light string of twinkling Christmas lights in and around the crumpled paper to create the look of fire. (maybe the paper should be red and yellow. I would just crumple them up with the lights behind them.

You might want to check home depot or lowes. They carry special items for fireplaces and usually can get it special ordered. hope this helps.

Just use a box of crayons and color in your own logs. The realism should be about the same.
