I've met this guy over the internet on Ehormony.com about 5 months ago. we really clicked..... He's so amazing & we have so much in common. Our personalities go great together....My problem is that he's a marine....& yes he's on the other side of the world fighting for our freedom. Him & I have never met face to face. My feelings for him are very strong. i haven't spoken with him since October 13th. I really do love him.....On the other hand My first love asked me out on a date for tonight. He just moved back from Virginia...i do like him to, but my heart is with the other guy. I broke my first loves heart before...How can I tell him no without hurting his feelings...I broke his heart before....I do have feelings for him but I think that it's more like a friend thing............HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

go on the date but tell him that it's a friend thing. Tell him that you think you've found another man but you still care about him in a platonic sense. Make sure you tell your marine about him too.
If it turns out to be more than a friend feeling then you have to decide where your loyalties lie.

Now let me add my own twist of reality!
We can be anything and everything we want to be in the weird world of the net! Now how in the hell do you fall in love with someone over the internet from e-mails/chat/maybe some calls.
To add to this you haven't even met face to face damn it is me or has this entire planet gone loopy??? Damn, for all you know he could act the opposite of what he is or has been once you meet in person. Then again maybe I prefer to fall in love the old fashioned way of getting women drunk in a bar and lying to them only to encourage them into sex and possibly falling in love with them after we have both sobered up!!!

go out on the date with the guy back from virginia u might actually have funn
and it is better than sulking about the other guy who is on the other side of the world...
just go have funn
and it doesnt have to be a date per say just a friend thing

go out with your first love. There is nothing wrong with that and have a heart to heart talk with him. do you know if he is trying to get back with you? maybe he just simply wants to have dinner with you because you spent time together and you have history together. I broke my ex boyfriends heart but we still keep in touch and once in a while we do get together and have dinner. Don't jump the gun...
