OK really do not know where to start so I just will...................?

Question

I have been living in and out of my car for about 3 weeks now. I am a fulltime college student and not currently working. I am 21 years old and the reason why I am homeless is well is my fault so there should be no excuse well this is what happened. I was going to college full-time and also going to work full-time working 3 rd shift it was very hard I would get home from work and bacisually have to go straight to school. and then after school I got home and slept for about 4 hours then went to work it was not a life no time to go out or anything and when I was not going to school which was sat. sun. I got caught up on sleep well anyway I left home to live on my own about 6 months ago because my parant where phsically and emotionally abusive to me. They both do drugs I could not countine to live there when my dad threw a coffee cup at me and hit me in the head I was out of course I called the law and he went to jail, now I go over to visit and he will not let me come in to speak to mom

Now see he want me to regret what I did which was call the police on him but its not going to happen he physically abused me my hole life I was sick of it and my mother said to me why did you call the cops on your dad she said that it was wrong I was like he threw a coffee cup at me striking me in the head and I had to get staples in the back of my head and you think that was right.shes like well.... Anyways the only way that I am getting through is with churchs I am unable to get foodstamps because I am not working at least 20 hours The college I go to can not help me out because its a community college. I really dont know what to do I tried to go to Owensboro, Kentucky which is about 30 min. from where I am to my grandmothers house but this grandmother is my dads mom and I was sure she would help me but I was wrong she said that she is set in her ways and that I could not stay there. know real friends to stay with no homeless shelters close by Please help Please give me any advise.

The first thing you need to do is learn how to write a question. You are not going to go very far in college/life if you don't know how to punctuate and capitalize. The idea behind Yahoo Answers is that you ask a question and then people respond to it. You didn't ask a question; you just rambled on about your miserable life.

You were taking on too much responsibility at one time, being a full-time student, plus working full time. I guess you lost your job because of over sleeping and being late. You did the right thing by calling the cops on your dad and your mom is probably siding with him because she is scared.
I would go to my adviser and school counselor and tell them my situation. They maybe able to arrange a temporary living arrangements until you get back on your feet. You should only work part-time while going to college. Once you have a secure job, you can check around to see if another student is looking for a roommate to share expenses. Sometimes students post on the bulletin board when another roommate had graduated and they need someone to share those expenses.
You should stay away from your parents home. Keep in touch with at least your mom because deep inside her heart, she will worry about you. Call her when you know that your dad isn't there. Good luck!

First, you need to reduce your school schedule to part-time, then get another job. You didn't say why you lost your other job, so I can't comment on that. Stay away from your parents' home for now, especially since they're both on drugs. Suggest you go to a shelter until you can find work. You might want to speak with an adviser at the college, they may be able to help you find a place to stay, and assist you with finding a job. Best of luck!

Sounds like your dad has some serious problems, can you get some help with the state or something, maybe go talk to someone at the school that could help you. I wouldnt even worry about my parents if they are mean like that stay away from them maybe they will realize how bad they were, until then stay away. Talk to a school staff or social services office or something. But sounds like you are going to have to get a part time job , whatever you do dont quit school and ruin your future like your parents have done you past. You deserve better than that. However, if your parents both do drugs I cannot see why you wish to remain in contact with either of them. Brutal perhaps, but possibly right.

Of course your junkie Old Man is angry with you, and I suspect your Mother is siding with him.

Keep away for your own good, but always leave a door open and a clue to where either of them can contact you - even if via a mutual acquaintance, just in case they dry out.

hey matthew I just read your problem and if you believ or not that its my first time to open this web and when i read your problem ifeel that god send me to help you ,to feel what you feel and to share your problems. so i advice you to searche of your god who create you and who put you in this poisition and also who examine you to know if you will search of him or not and after tht will find answers for all your questions?????
