How Come MPEG Files Always Play On Quicktime?

Question

I was wonderin why the mpeg files that i try to view through windows media player, always shows up on quicktime? I made windows media player my default and it still plays on quicktime, on the mozilla firefox internet screen thing... and i cant make it full screen.... quicktime is garbage... i need some help please!!!!

You've assigned mpeg files to be opened with mpeg

If you want mpeg files to be played in another player, right click on the file, click on Properites.

a window should open up and it should display an area called "Opens With" and a button called "Change"

Click on Change, and choose the program you want to open it with. This will apply it to all mpg / mpeg files.

I would like to add up to arus.geo's answer. Right click the MPEG file adn choose open with and click on choose program. You wil find a list of all those programs in ur comp. Select Windows media player or whatever u like and which can open these kind of files. Before u click OK, make it sure that you check the "always use this......" in the bottom of the pop up window. Then click ok. This wil make it permanent.

You can also try to right click on the MPEG file and choose "open with" and choose WMP. Hope that works
