I agree that childbirth is bad, but I also agree that there are much worse pains out there. I've had 2 kids, but some worse pains...... kidney stone, a bad burn.

A doctor I knew once told me that he had a patient who had a disease that caused he bones to splinter inside her arms and legs constantly...with no medical or surgical cure.
He prescribed injections of a combination of morphine and cocaine 6 times a day by a 24 nursing care. Now to me...I can't imagine a more devastating pain.
And personally I I fractures 3 vertebrae, shattered every rib on the left side of my chest, had rotator cuff surgery (which my orthopedic doctor told me was the most painful type), broken both feet at the same time, have migraines and suffered the bends.
But still...her illness....has to be the worst.

During my weaning off lexapro, I experienced some absolutely unbearable pain. The worst side effect. A bout of Fibromilagia. It started in my shoulders, and moved everywhere. The doctors thought I was crazy. One said I was making it up. They had me on every narcotic imaginable, they did NOTHING. Finally after an emergency room physician prescribed the corticosteroid prednisone, did my symptoms finally dissipate. I have empathy and pray for anyone experiencing this pain on an acute or chronic basis. The pain is unimaginable unless experienced. Absolutely horrendous.

The worst pain that I've been through, and i haven't had kids, would be getting the inside of my arm tattoo'd on for 3 hours. Now that hurts!

I have two children and I would rather have another baby than have a toothache or backpain. I cannot function if I have a toothache and I can't stand to not be able to move if my back is hurting.
