Hey everyone!
I have thick, curly, black hair that is very hard to manage...and I was wondering if anyone had tips for what I should do to make it look nice in the morning...that would only use up about 30 minutes of my time?...Should I wash it every morning? Also, I have dandruff in my scalp that comes to the top from time to time? Any suggestions for that?...Usually, I just take a blow dryer and blow warm air at the top of my head to make the dandruff fly away..

I have Indian hair (Indian not Native American.)

Thank you sooo muchhh!

ooo it sounds like you have beautiful hair! i would just leave it down... especially if it is curly. maybe just secure it clip. or you could wear a big sash thing in your hair as a headband. it would be very cute

My hair is the same way. Try a cut with long layers. That will help have body but not be frizzy or flat at the top. Then you could try a straightener but, I have noticed with my hair it tends to get greasy really quick and causes more dandruff. I would suggest wear your curls don't let them wear you. Get some moose, hairspray, and a diffuser and own those curls!!

You need to use a dandruff shampoo every other day. Do not wash your hair daily, you are only drying it out. Use a conditioner after you shampoo, as curly hair needs moisture to keep it from getting overly frizzy and dried out (it's more porus that straight hair). You don't mention whether your curl is natural or not, and that makes a difference, as chemical processes dry hair out.
Neutrogena T-gel shampoo or head and shoulders are good anti-dandruff products. As you wash your hair less, and condition more, the dandruff should improve.
To reduce the frizz of curly hair (esp in high humid conditions, or very dry winter conditions) use a mousse with a silicon sealer. I have naturally curly hair and use Paul Mitchell spray on light sculpting hair gel (for light hold) and if I need something stronger, Paul Mitchell sculpting mousse in extra firm hold.
Stop blow drying your hair, you are drying it out too much and making frizz worse! Curly hair requires a diffuser attachment for your dryer, or air drying and finger fluffing for best results.
My hair care regimen is this:
wash hair every other day, and condition 2 min with conditioner. Towel dry by wrapping for 2 min and then unwrapping (no rubbing of hair or scalp with towel!)
Apply Sebastian potion #9 daily for control and top with Soft Sculpting Spray gel (the Paul Mitchel stuff) or tresseme sealant for curly hair (in supermarkets).
Comb through with wide tooth comb to remove tangles.
Scrunch with fingers. Let air dry.
It takes me maybe 15 min total (including shampoo) for my curly hair routine.

Hey, even i'm an Indian
Anywas, won't u watch any adds on TV?!?!
Here's my sujjestion for ya, use a hair oil every night, apply it deeply on the scalp n let it be there till the mornin, n then use an anti-dandruf shampoo, then u might see changes
If u r all naturals(like my dear MOM), u can do this:
After the oiling thingy, the next mornin, there's powder called soapnut pwdr, use it, even that's good
U can use thins like egg white, edible leaves' juises on ur head n so on for a straight, soft hair.
U can go to a beauty parlour n straighten ur haur for around 400Rs.

If I where you, I'd wash my hair at night with a dandruff shampoo like head and shoulders. then dry it before you go to bead. in the morning you can put some styling puttty in it and use a straight iron or curling iron.

Your lucky to have thick hair lots of girls would die for that.
You should wash it every morning and you can get special herbal stuff for dandruff and really rub your scalp when shampooing.
It may sound wierd but wash out your shampoo untill your hair squeaks then go on to using and anti dandruff conditioner.
Good luck!

You should probably wash it every morning. Make sure to use a good conditioner and do not use the high heat setting on your blowdryer. You should probably also try some dandruff shampoo.
