Gen 6:7 (KJV) And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

Well, if it's not obvious to you, repentance means the acknowledgement of a mistake, which means a lack of forsight. Omniscience necessarily includes perfect forsight.

ok, im not a a genius, but i do read the bible daily..everyone gets something different out if the verses they read, just so it can touch them..thats whats so wonderful about it..secondly, he was talking about the evil right before he floods the earth..god cannot look upon sin..thats why jesus came and died on the cross for us and he washed away our sins..god was talking about sodomy and stealing and lying and sex and all the sins he could not look upon, he was upset that he made man and they turned around and disrespected him the way they did..i would be too you know..thats just what i believe

That's the inevitable problem you run into when attempting to reconcile the early, primitive concept of "Jehovah" as reflected in the legends of the Old Testament - the totemic war-god of a tribe of wandering nomads - with the later, sophisticated, philosophical concept of God as omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.

Nope. Read Romans 8: 19-22. It was because man chose to sin that God made this statement. Even subhuman creation such as animals and plants have been subjected to disease and suffering because of Adam's sin. They also will be delivered in some sense to attain their full potential when God's children are resurrected to enjoy their final salvation.

I'm not sure how that is supposedly a contradiction to God's omniscience.

You are absolutely correct, but I just love reading the responses of the bible thumpers. There can be a plain as day contradiction like the one your mentioning and they STILL don't see it! Incredible! Just keep pulling those blinders over your eyes!

You are correct. This shows the earlier tradition where Yahweh was only the creator god or the war god.

I see no contradiction

I think that you are a contradiction, i.e., a bible-thumping atheist.
