I think obesity needs to be understood better. First of all, lack of education about what you are consuming is hurting most people. Everyone I talk to thinks high fructose corn syrup is a good thing. My God, it's one of the number one ingredients for obesity. So is MSG. MSG is even worse. These food additives are in everything. MSG keeps you hungry, plain and simple. Most people don't know this and go out and buy diet pills. These pills fail in the end because MSG is as addictive as nicotine and more powerful than any diet pill.

We as a people are meant to eat what nature has given us to eat. Protein, Vegetables, Fruits, anything organic, real grain bread...Not chemicals, not corn syrup or hydrogenated oil and certainly not MSG. Once you are off the ingredients, you will find you are not hungry all the time. You will loose weight naturally, without pills. It's all a matter of education. You will find in the end that food tastes better without it and you will never go back once you are off it long enough. It's been almost a year for me now. Even my hair is healthier plus I am back to a size 5 and I never starve, just eat right.

The whole thing is you have to shop for food, read the labels and prepare your own. Know exactly what you are consuming before you eat it.

There you have it ... Dieting made simple. :)

The implications of obesity are extremely serious, and your question makes it very difficult to give you a proper answer.

The main concerns are heart disease and Type-II diabetes. Both are chronic illnesses with far-reaching effects on the human body and life expectancy. I can't be more specific with such a vague question!

You need to be more specific. What do you want to know? It's dangerous, what else?
