The best way is to brush your teeth and tounge, drink plenty of water throughout the day and use mouthwash.

If you stick with it your breath will be just fine.

Is it mainly in the morning?
If so, do you brush before bed. OR it may be that you just sleep with your mouth slightly open - commoner than you think!!
No cure really, just get up early if you sleep next to someone every night! and brush before you greet them in the morning
During the day?
Do you drink lots of tea/coffee, this can make you have halitosis (bad breath) Mints/water are the answer to this, to stop your mouth drying out and causing bad breath.

A tongue scraper is a good idea, once you have used it once and seen all the fuzz that it removes you willl never go back.
Also floss or dental tape is easier to use if you have never flossed before, cos it is thicker and easier to control.
Wrap the floss around your two index fingers and gently push down between your gums in an up and down movement, remove and wrap the used piece around your fingers and use a clean piece to go between each tooth side.
Hope this helps

Visit the dentist on a regular basis to keep then in good condition, brush your teeth/gums/tongue twice a day every day and use a mouthwash to swill the rest out. After eating chew on some gum for five minutes then throw away this will loosen any dead food stuck between teeth and add much needed siliva to your mouth that protects it. Finally watch your diet and avoid garlic type food.
This should work if not go to doctor as there may be a stomache problem.
Oh forgot FLOSS on a daily basis.

The worst cases of bad breath that I see are usually due to poor oral hygiene, if you smoke this only compounds it.

The smell is caused by sulphur producing bacteria which if not removed efficiently fester between the teeth and below the gumline producing the sulphurous gas as they bio-degrade (not a pleasant thought I know!)

You need to be sure that you are brushing as well as you possibly can (I'd advised disclosing tablets available from Dentist and Pharmacies to show where the plaque bacteria are on your teeth)

People generally do not brush anywhere near as well as they think they do!. An electric toothbrush is probably better as the heads are smaller and can get in the more awkward spots, you do not have to spend a fortune on one, just go for a rechargeable one the battery ones are useless make sure you step around each individual tooth when brushing.

Next.... Floss or Interdental brushes DAILY this is vital as this is where most of the really smelly bacteria live in the crevices between your teeth, don't worry if your gums bleed at first persevere and I promise they'l settle!

Next..... Tongue brushing or scraping, not as weird as it sounds, a lot of bacteria that cause bad breath live in the crevices and layer of saliva on your tongue. Brush your tongue in long sweeping strokes front to back (or it will make you gag!) or get a tongue scraper from a dentist or chemist.

Mouthwash is limited in it's effect and can actually make matter worse by drying your mouth out, bad breath always smells worse in a dry mouth. If you do want to use one try Dentyl mouthwash which has no alcohol to dry your mouth. Regular drinks stops your mouth from dehydrating too.

I'd advise a visit to your Dentist and Hygienist, to treat any Gum Disease you may have and remove any hardened plaque deposits (Tartar) .

And finally and probably most importantly......... if you smoke PLEASE try to give up, most of the people that I see with severe gum problems that eventually results in them loosing teeth are smokers, It really has a terrrible effect on your gums

Bad breath is caused by plaque building up on your teeth, make sure you spend 2 minutes brushing them every morning and every night, you should floss your teeth once a day, if you cant get on with dental floss then try "tepe brushes" they are like little bottle brushes and can be purchased at your dentist or in local supermarkets (waitrose definatley sells them) also try purchasing a "tongue brush" this can also be purchased at your dental surgery, if none of the above are working then visit your local GP as there could be a problem with your stomach. I am a dental nurse and have seen patients try everything possible and nothing works for them and eventually they realise that they have a problem with their stomach.

First go to the dentist and get a thorough cleaning and check up. Get any cavities filled. Floss at least once a day, more is better, but at least once. Brush after every meal. Brush your tongue. Breathe Assure works great when you get bad breath from the food you eat.

Bad breath can not be cured. It can only be controlled by taking breath enhanced medications.

If you are sick, like sinus' problems, in which is causing you to experience bad breath, gargle with hydrogen peroxide two times a day, the peroxide kills the germs... If you are just one of the few people who have halatosis, ask your dentist for a perscription or mouthwash he carries in his office.
