ok so i dated a guy that only took me to walmart and church and now and then to eat if he was hungry. he is an alcoholic and rages when he is not in control. i told him i was done and then changed my phone number. he called my friend and left the message that he has been trying and can't get ahold of me and that he wants her to check on me to see if i'm alright. what can i do to let him know to go pound salt?

well alcoholics are not fun or easy to deal with ...it sounds like you have distanced yourself enough...it was good that you changed your number,,,,i say let it go...and just keep far from him.....if he contacts your friend again i would tell her to tell him that "she(meaning you) is done with you, she changed her number and she doesnt want to be bothered...it is beter this way, just let her go!" see if that works,,,other wise you can agree to meet with him once more to break it to him face to face...sometimes things really dont get across to people unless it is told to them directly! good luck!

Just call him up on a private #. depending where you are i think it is *87 before the phone # is dialed. then be straight with him. Thank him for caring for you and making sure that your alright yet let him know that you 2 are not meant for each other.Let him know how he has made you feel and why you think this. Tell him that it is your life and your choice and your answer is that you wish to see what else is out there.

First tell your friend to tell him that you are fine and that if he really cares about you he will let you live your life like you are doing now. Then keep up what you are doing now, do not contact him and do not allow him to contact you, he should get the point. Do not worry about it as long as you stay away from one another he will eventually move on and if he doesn't and he starts to harass you then make it clear to him that you do not want to be with him and go to the authorities if need be.

Stay away from him, do not contact him. If he contacts your friend, all your friend needs to do is to tell him you are just fine and he does not need to worry about you. Your friend should not contact him back to tell him anything. Ignore him as much as possible, all the way around.

This guy sounds pretty scary. Be careful.

tell your friend to tell him also (to go pound salt)...

just keep a distance. make more of a distance if you can. he's trying to weasel his way back into your life. oh and also don't base your life around Yahoo Answers, I've already given you advice once I think!

thing is I'll continue to do so as long as you keep asking. sigh...
