I'm just against the close minded ignorance that many religious people exhibit. Not the people themselves.

I'm against religious institutions and religious leaders and manipulators, because they are doing a terrible service to the world. I am not against ordinary believers.

I'm 100% against institutionalised religion. I regard it as a barrier to humanity's development. A throwback to a less enlightened era. It has to go anyway and religionists are just delaying the inevitable. I would like to see it rooted out now but it will probably die a long lingering death.

I am against people who preach to me about being washed in the blood of Jesus. And those that tell me that i should accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior other wise i will not enter into God's kingdom.
Jesus is not my God and whether or not i get into heaven is the furthest thing from my mind right now.

I agree with momofmodi, I'm not against it, I tryed the religion thing, it wasn't for me, I felt there is more to spirituality than what they teach.
I don't like to be preached to, we need to keep to ourself about our beliefs. you shouldn't feel like they need to get the word out to save others, people can make decisions on their own.
some people need religion, some of us don't, and that doesn't mean we don't believe in life after death.
and we need to not try and provoke each other about our beliefs......seriously, it's getting old. If I see one more question about "why do christians not see they're part of a cult" or whatever, I'm gonna be sick. we should not judge each other by our belief system.
peace.

Not me, I am a child of God.
I have been on the internet some 15 years...nothing has changed. The radical believers and the radical disbelievers seem to love to go at it with words. Why they don't just leave it alone (both of them) I have no clue. I seriously doubt either will change the others mind.

I don't mind religious people. Live and let live. But they need to live and let live too. I don't like it when religious people(doesn't matter what religion) say that their church/religion is the "only" religion and the only way to believe. I don't think God(whichever one you choose) cares which religion you are part of or what church you go to.

I'm not against religious people as long as they're not against me - that means they let me live my life my way without preaching at me and telling me I'm going to go to hell etc etc.
In return I won't ridicule their beliefs and laugh at their silly books... do we have a deal?

As a Christian I can tell you what Jesus said:
"and you will be hated by all on account of My name"
Luke 21:17
Jesus knew beforehand that His followers would be hated, mocked, etc..
He is the light of the world - light exposes what is in the darkness.
All we can do is share the truth in love and hope that some will see His light and receive Him and be saved.
